Over
the past years we have worked with Excellence in Cities on many
occasions. We have worked with Gifted & Talented clusters in
Kirklees, Bradford & Rotherham.
Gifted
& Talented
Generally when working with Gifted & Talented cluster we tend
to work over 2-4 full day and offer 3 activities at a time so that
the young people can rotate around. A popular package is our Urban
Music Packages which consists of music production , DJ Skills and
Street Dance. Here the young people get to experience a range of
skills and have a professionally duplicated CD made. As this is
an intensive course it is suitable for 30-40 young people, if we
have children for 2day we can reach level 1, a further 2 days reaches
level 2 and another 2 level 3( for mor details on our levels click
here). By doing something that the children have not experienced
before it allows young people who may NOT consider themselves to
be gifted and talented and be from a minority / disadvantaged background
to actually be gifted and talented because of the practical and
urban nature of our training. In the past we have worked extensively
with Kirklees and Bradford G&T.
Aim
Higher
In the past we have worked with Preston Aim Higher and Tameside
Aim Higher. We are able to offer taster days that show young people
a different prospective of university course through music, sport
and dance by experiencing a workshop. In addition to one off taster
days and attending residential we can also provide sustained training
that results in an accreditation. By working with Aim Higher and
offering a contemporary learning style we can inspire hard to reach
learners to consider higher education. We can offer a variety of
sessions including DJ Skills (vinyl, CD & Abbelton), Music Production
(Reason 3, Cubase SE or SX and Cubasis), Vocal recording, Street
Dance and Self Defence.
