INSET

We understand effectively training your staff and creating sustainability is paramount to the success of your school. Therefore we have carefully selected courses that will enhance your staff’s skill sets and make the most of new technologies. Our sessions can be ran as INSET days or as a number of twilight sessions. In addition to offering the training and coming to you, we are happy to recommend, supply or retail any additional equipment you may require.

Apple
We offer staff training in a number of Apple programs, whether your school uses iMacs or iPads we can show you how to operate the software and structure a lesson so you are able to deliver it to class. We are able to offer courses at an entry, intermediate and advanced level, in packages such as Garage Band, iMovie and Photoshop.

Music Production
We also offer PC based music production. We can train staff so they are able to teach students to create their own songs using the software program Dance Ejay for Schools. This activity teaches composition of music, as seen in the syllabus, in a fun, interactive and innovative way. Students will learn how to structure a song and musical arrange it, mix their tracks and export the songs into a format that can be made into an audio CD.

Podcasting
Podcasting is a great way for young people to discover the different roles required to create their own radio styled show and can be used as a vehicle to create pieces for other tops.. In this training we will show you how to operate the software and structure the lesson so the students become presenters, producers and editors in order to create a 10 minute show, which is then uploaded onto the internet for secure download.

Animation
Animation is a great hands-on activity that students enjoy. Our training focuses on stop-motion animation and on taking still images of models to create short movies. We will show you how to operate the cameras, software and structure a project.

Boxercise
Boxercise incorporates boxing combinations and exercise. It’s great for younger children to learn how to co-ordinate their hands. In our staff training we show you how to safely teach boxercise to children.

Dance
Dance can be difficult to teach if you have not had the training, we are able to tailor sessions to the needs of your staff so they feel comfortable teaching dance.

Positive Handling & Risk Reduction
Our training covers personal safety, risk reductions strategies, positive handling and legal guidance, with further support on our website. This is a one day accredited course.

First Aid & Safeguarding
This training is specifically geared for primary schools. We are able to offer basic half-day first aid courses and full day HSE approved courses. We also offer a 1-day Safeguarding Level 1 courses, which based on the latest government legislation and guidance including "Working Together to Safeguard Children 2010".

Prices
per 1 day course our fees are £359 (ex VAT)  and we can train up to 6 adults in a session
