In the themes above, each day a different country is explored. That day is then split into hourly sessions so that in each hour a different class, of approximately 30, can participate. Each hour workshop gives a brief overview of the country, the cultural relevance of the activity and a traditional workshop from that country. Your school can select from running the theme for either a day, a week or even two weeks to suit your students.
Here is an overview of some of the more unusual activities:-
Kung Fu
Originating at the Shaolin temple in China from the 4th century, Kung Fu was developed as a set of exercises to help Buddhist monks keep themselves healthy. Junior Jam teaches the students various techniques, stances, Chinese etiquette and history.
African Tribal Dance
Most African dances are special 'givings' and 'rituals' to the Gods to make sure that the tribe will have a good harvest. Junior Jam use traditional African music and symbolism to teach the students an authentic African Tribal Dance to give thanks.
