Sound Education has been established since 2004 and is part of the group Junior Jam belongs to. We have worked with thousands of schools across the UK. We are a service provider who work directly with schools and LEAs offering supply cover.

Our unique approach to supply cover allows you to select the option that best suits the needs of your school and the individual class.

We can be booked in at short or advanced notice and can tailor our approach to suit short term, long term and sporadic cover. We offer the option of having:-

We can follow your work plans or do standalone projects. We can work with 1 class solidly or you can chose to rotate different classes around us  - its your choice.

The Curriculum, Numeracy & Literacy
Whilst we offer projects and activities we recognise the importance of your school routine and are happy to follow your guidelines and lesson plans in terms of sticking to your pre existing plans.

How we work
To make a planned absence booking please call us with your desired requests. We will then ask you to complete a “fact find” for us so we can plan for the session. For emergency cover we are available from 6am to 8pm by calling 0845 8622283, we will then endeavour to find you the most appropriate cover and arrive promptly to complete the fact find prior to the start of the school day.

Our Unique Selling Point
In addition to traditional supply cover we offer specialist projects that a class can enjoy, so that when a member of staff is absent this becomes an opportunity. We are even able to send multiple staff throughout the day so different activities can be explored.

Projects

iPad Media
Year 2 plus, requires classroom, runs for 1-5days
Our iPad Media sessions are a great way to engage young people in a variety of creative, enterprising and tactical projects. We provide the iPads so it’s a cost effective way of allowing your students to experience Apple’s latest technology and make learning relevant. We are able to cover such areas as filming, music production, photography and graphic design.

iApprentice                 
Year 2 plus, requires classroom, runs for 1-5days
iApprentice takes a class through the process of creating a product to take to market, looking at target markets and marketing material to reach the demographic. In teams, they will look at budgeting, promotion and presenting business skills. Using iPads, they will research and design their product, create a digital business plan and a TV advert or poster campaign. At the end of the day each group will present their business to the class and the dragons to see who gets hired.

Broadway                 
Year 1 plus, requires classroom, runs for 1-5days
Broadway is an exciting project which combines drama, dance and singing. Students will focus on an adaptation of a movie and create an enjoyable and fun Broadway style performance which will result in an end production showcasing all the new skills. Plays available include: Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz and The Lion King

CSI School                  8yrs+                  runs over 2-5days
CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) School involves the combination of forensic science with a creative twist. Students will all have a part to play in solving one of our 3 cases, tracing back evidence and investigating a crime scene. When students enter the crime scene they will have their fingerprints taken and be given
their brief... Everyone is a suspect!
