New Apps for iMedia PPA Cover

As the summer holidays quickly approach, the iMedia department here at Junior Jam have been hard at work improving and updating our current computing course material for 2019/20 PPA cover. At Junior Jam we pride ourselves on utilising the most current technology and combining these with current trends to help inspire and educate our students. Therefore, keeping our course material contemporary is important. So far, we have added a bunch of new apps to our iJam and iFilm PPA cover subjects. iJam is all about music production and using technology to write and create music. Garageband provides a platform for our PPA cover music production courses and we have found that using third party apps and linking them through Garageband’s inter-app audio helps to enhance its capabilities and allows our students to become even more creative. As a result, we have added Ampify Music’s Launchpad and Reactable’s SNAP drum machine to the iJam course. Both apps use intuitive interfaces to help students create exciting sounds with ease. The iFilm PPA cover course focuses on film, TV presenting and camera techniques and to help develop our students story creation we have added the app Toontastic 3D. This app provides a great platform to craft an entertaining story arc and then record it as an animated movie. Students are going to love these new additions and we can’t wait to show them off in PPA Cover lessons from September.
