OFSTED CONFIDENCE

Junior Jam: Supporting you in being insepection ready

At Junior Jam, we understand that PPA cover should do more than provide release time. It should strengthen your curriculum, support your staff, and help your school feel confident and inspection ready. When using an external provider to deliver part of your curriculum, schools need complete assurance that their curriculum will be delivered with quality, progression, and purpose. And, should Ofsted choose to focus on a subject delivered through PPA within the Curriculum and Teaching core area, you need to know your school is fully prepared.

Our specialist provision also supports teacher wellbeing. By delivering subjects such as computing, which some teachers may not feel as confident delivering, we reduce workload pressures while ensuring pupils still receive high-quality, specialist teaching. At the same time, Junior Jam supports pupil wellbeing by providing engaging, creative, and purposeful learning experiences that build confidence, motivation, and enjoyment.

Clear Curriculum Intent:
Supporting documentation

To clearly show which curriculum areas our lessons cover, we provide curriculum links and overview documents for each subject. These include a matrix of every level, giving schools a clear view of progression between years and what pupils can achieve through multiple years with Junior Jam. Our courses align with non-statutory guidance, including the Model Music Curriculum (2021), National Plan for Music (2022), Development Matters (2023), and updates to teaching online safety (2025). We regularly update our curriculum and note compliance in the links documents. Short and long term planning documents give teachers and subject leads a detailed view of lessons, outlining course overviews and learning objectives for the half term. Our short term plans show our scaffolding to ensure adaptive learning within the classroom.

Strong Curriculum Implementation:

Junior Jam’s balanced curriculum ensures high subject expertise, consistent teaching quality across classes, clear modelling, and adaptive learning to support all pupils. Proven and inspection-ready, it strengthens your school’s curriculum and gives subject leads confidence and clarity.

Our programmes translate curriculum intent into meaningful, high-quality learning experiences. Within the Ofsted framework, schools must show that their curriculum is not only well designed but also effectively delivered in the classroom. Junior Jam supports this with structured, progressive lessons delivered by specialist instructors who build skills and knowledge step by step. Pupils practise, revisit, and consolidate learning over time, while scaffolding ensures they succeed independently and confidently.

Resources and activities are practical, engaging, and designed specifically for primary classrooms, making learning accessible and appropriately challenging for all. With clear progression and consistent delivery, schools can be confident that pupils receive high-quality teaching that supports long-term development. Ultimately, our programmes demonstrate that Junior Jam’s curriculum intent is brought to life in everyday classroom practice, enhancing pupil engagement, achievement, and readiness for inspection.

Demonstratable curriculum impact:

Junior Jam’s implementation ensures our curriculum is delivered consistently, clearly, and with measurable impact. Our lessons are built on structured long-term and short-term planning, allowing schools to see clear progression across year groups. Curriculum overview documents show how knowledge and skills develop over time, while aligning with key guidance such as the Model Music Curriculum, National Plan for Music Education, Development Matters, and Teaching Online Safety in Schools.

Every lesson includes clear objectives, structured differentiation, and extension opportunities so all pupils can access and progress within the learning. Our school-friendly online portal provides leaders and subject leads with access to curriculum documents, instructor vetting, and dynamic Actual Progression Maps, giving a clear overview of what pupils have completed and what is coming next.

Weekly session forms and half-termly course evaluations provide regular feedback on lesson delivery and pupil progress, helping schools monitor provision and ensure the curriculum is implemented effectively.

our portal

Our Portal

What sets Junior Jam apart isn’t just our curriculum - it’s our unique online portal. Once your school has confirmed, you receive two logins: a full-access user and a restricted-access user, giving flexibility in sharing information across your team. Full access lets you view DBS checks, instructor vetting, payment schedules, and order confirmations. Both accounts provide all documents and resources your staff need to follow the curriculum, which can be viewed online, downloaded, or printed. Rationales, Intent, Implement, and Impact statements are clearly displayed. The portal also includes Actual Progression Maps, showing what pupils have completed and what’s coming next. Your dynamic portal keeps track of everything throughout the year as well as allowing multi-year users to view past resources to track progression over time.

Reporting and Assessing

As an optional extra, Reporting and Assessing offers each child a grade A-C in three areas. For Music, Computing, P.E and Performing arts these areas are: progression, attainment and attitude to learning. Within our Lanaguage modules the areas change slightly to: progression, attitude to learning and understanding and writing. These gradings are verified by our subject managers before they are released to the school, and our instructors are always on hand, when in school, to go through gradings with you for further understanding. All of the grading is viewable through your unqiue portal and is full downloadable to help class teachers with their own reports.

Our Dedicated Curriculum Team

If after receiving our documents, your team still feels like they need further support, our office team are here to help. If you would like a phone or zoom meeting before a Deep-Dive, or you wish to have someone from the office speak to the OFSTED inspector when they are within school, we are on hand to do this. We aim to make communicating our curriculum to OFSTED as easy as possible.
