Junior Jam Summer Holiday Clubs

This Summer Junior Jam are working on a very exciting pilot and will be teaming up with TLG, on the DfE’s 2019 Holiday Activities and Food Programme.

This fund has provided a number of schools and organisations across Bradford with grants in a bid to help combat ‘holiday hunger’ whilst providing fun and engaging activities to young people during the summer break.

Bradford has one of the highest rates of child poverty in the country with over 30,000 children living in poverty and one of the highest number of children (just over 17000) being eligible for Free School Meals (FSM).

Returning to school in poor physical and mental condition can have a detrimental impact on children’s mental and physical wellbeing, as well as their educational attainment.

Where does Junior come in?

With 15 years of holiday club experience, Junior Jam showcases the very best activities on offer. Similar to a school sports day, children will take part in action-packed sports activities, such as Multi Sports, Athletics, Quick Cricket, and Kick-Boxing. We also incorporate themed workshops such as Steel Pans, Capoeria and Thai Boxing. In addition to these amazing physical activities, we also provide media sessions, which we run on iPads, where the children do the following workshops - Movie Making, Music Production and Animation, so there’s something for everyone.

We also provide a packed lunch for every participant too.

We have several new recruits who will be joining us over summer to help us deliver this amazing new project. Each club is done with enthusiasm, professionalism and above all, FUN! Our main aim is to always provide every child an amazing and unforgettable experience.

There’s 38 clubs in total, so please click the link to see if your schools participating www.juniorjam.co.uk/clubs/
