Summer Holiday Clubs 2019 week 1

This is week 1 of the Summer holidays for Junior Jam. In addition to delivering 6 holiday clubs in South Yorkshire this week, we are also delivering 4 in Bradford to help combat holiday hunger. In total we are delivering 38 Holiday Hunger clubs in various areas of Bradford this Summer. Junior Jam have worked with Bradford schools to obtain funding for these clubs, ran assemblies, distributed flyers and operated an online booking system, prior to the clubs starting. This week we are at Co-op Parkland Academy, Farfield Primary, Hoyle Court Primary and St Columba’s Primary. All the clubs are full and kids are having a great time so far. Each day starts with several mandatory games of dodge ball before the children are put in to groups to do sports, dance, drama, media lessons on iPads or crime scene investigation. The kids receive a free healthy packed lunch from us and then do another 2 hours of activities in the afternoon.
