What a Summer it's been...

While many schools enjoy a well-earned break over summer, things at Junior Jam are anything but quiet! For six weeks straight, our office team have been working tirelessly to make sure everything is ready for the start of a brand-new academic year. From recruiting and training new staff, to updating technology and running holiday clubs, it’s been non-stop action, all with one goal in mind: giving children the best learning experiences possible.

Recruitment, Training & Holiday Clubs

The summer is one of our busiest periods for recruitment. We’ve been interviewing and onboarding enthusiastic new staff members across our media, music, arts, PE and MFL departments. Alongside this, our training and induction programmes have been in full swing, ensuring every team member is confident, creative, and ready to deliver engaging sessions from day one of term.

Our holiday clubs have also kept us on our toes. These not only provide children with fun, creative activities during the break, but also give families the opportunity to book their children on free of charge thanks to the HAF Scheme.

Andrew: Keeping Tech Running Smoothly
Technology plays a huge part in what we do, and Andrew has been the go-to person for all things digital this summer. With hundreds of iPads to manage, he’s spent countless hours updating apps and software, replacing cases, testing equipment, and ensuring everything is running perfectly. Thanks to his hard work, every device is classroom-ready for September.

Emily: Recruitment & Curriculum Development
Emily has had a summer packed with creativity and organisation. She’s been busy recruiting talented staff for our media, music, and arts departments, bringing in specialists who can inspire and engage pupils. On top of that, she’s been hard at work writing lesson plans, developing new courses, and building curriculum links to make sure our provision stays fresh, exciting, and educationally relevant.

Jess: Leading Holiday Clubs & Recruitment
Jess has taken the lead in recruiting for both our MFL and PE departments, bringing in new team members who will help broaden our offer to schools. She’s also been instrumental in running and managing five weeks of our holiday clubs, no small task! From organising staff to ensuring activities run smoothly, Jess has kept everything on track with her usual energy and efficiency.

Michael: Music Equipment Renewal
Music is at the heart of Junior Jam, and Michael has been overseeing a full refresh of our music equipment this summer. From ordering brand-new resources to ensuring every instrument is up to standard, he’s made sure our music staff are fully equipped to deliver inspiring lessons all year round.

After an extremely busy few weeks, the whole office team are ready and excited for the academic year 2025–26 to begin. With brilliant existing staff returning and talented new recruits joining the team, we can’t wait to get stuck in and showcase Junior Jam in the best possible way.
